The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is designed to prepare future global leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as well as good and sustainable development in their home countries and regions. The bursary is funded by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It provides you with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in Swedish society and culture and to form enduring bonds with both Sweden and other scholarship recipients. Applicants must also demonstrate how the study program in Sweden would help their native country or region. Every year, the Swedish government provides a large number of bursaries to international students. One of these scholarships is the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals 2022. The scholarship is for full-time master’s programs of one or two years. The scholarship period cannot be amended or extended beyond the period specified in the award letter, nor may it be transferred to a study program other than the master’s degree specified in the award letter. Never give up the chance to study in Sweden with a full scholarship.

Scholarship Coverage:
- Tuition fees are fully covered. SI pays the cost directly to your Swedish university at the start of each semester.
- Monthly payment of SEK 10,000 will be made to cover your living expenses during your studies.
- Insurance that protects you from illness and accidents.
- You become a member of the SI Alumni Network after your scholarship time has finished. As a member, you’ll have access to a one-of-a-kind opportunity for professional development and networking. Local networks operate all over the world, with over 15,000 talented alumni from more than 140 countries.
- The bursary includes a travel grant of SEK 15,000.
- The scholarship includes a travel allowance of SEK 10,000 for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, the Russian Federation, and Ukraine for the whole study year. This is a one-time payment that does not apply to students who have previously established residency in Sweden.
- The following items are not covered by this bursary:
- Additional funds are available for family members.
- There is a charge for applying to university admissions.
Programs Offered by Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals 2022:
- SI scholarships are available for around 600 master’s programs taught in English beginning in the autumn semester of 2022.

Eligibility for Scholarship:
- Citizens of 42 countries are eligible for the award.
- Only eligible programs beginning in the autumn semester of 2022 are eligible.
- On November 1, 2021, a list of master’s eligible programs will be published.
- A Global Professionals scholarship is usually offered to 4-6 percent of candidates.
- Dual citizenship: If you have dual citizenship and both are qualified for SI scholarship programs, you should only apply for one of them. Applicants who apply for multiple SI scholarships with different citizenship will have both applications denied.
*Exception: students with dual citizenship in Romania may apply for a scholarship even if they are EU citizens; however, when applying to both SI and University Admissions, they must declare which citizenship is eligible for the scholarship.
Required Documents for Scholarship:
Later this fall, we’ll make the requisite SI forms for the relevant documents for the 2022 call for applications available here. Other than the required documentation, we will not consider anything else. You must fill out the forms provided by SI and submit your application in English.
The following items make up a comprehensive application:
- Reference letters for CVs
- Work and leadership experience must be verifiable and comprehensive.
- a copy of your current passport or national identification card (will be asked of you in the application portal)
- Your application will be denied if any of the aforementioned things are missing.

Application Procedure for Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals:
- By the 17th of January 2022, you can apply for up to four qualified master’s programs at universityadmissions.se. It’s worth noting that the Stockholm School of Economics has its admissions and intake process.
- After submitting your application for the master’s program(s) via universityadmissions.se, you will be given an eight-digit personal application number. When applying for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals, you’ll need this number. Your application will be denied if you enter an incorrect number in the online application form. Applicants to the Stockholm School of Economics will not be granted such a number.
- Submit your receipt of the application fee, as well as any supporting papers required by University Admissions, by the deadline of February 1, 2022. There is no way to seek a return on the money.
